The Second Edition is finished!

Hello! Since last Fall, I’ve been working on an updated, expanded and generally improved version of my book - NetSuite for Consultants - and that Second Edition is about to be released in just a few days.

I’m happy to say that the 2023 Second Edition I’ve been working on for the last couple of months now has a spiffy cover.

Happy 2023, everyone. My book, NetSuite for Consultants was first published in January of 2022 and my fantastic publisher has encouraged me to write updates for it already.

Don’t try to boil the ocean

“They’re trying to boil the ocean!” Have you heard this phrase before? You might hear consultants say this when they think a client is trying to accomplish too much at once.

There’s a lot of talk right now about a video featuring Elon Musk and his five-rules for successful product engineering. In the video, he talks about the ways he has found to improve any new requirement for his SpaceX rockets, and how his team makes sure they only build things they really need to.

Now that the book has been published, I intend to use this blog to share NetSuite tips with the community. If anyone reading this has a tip they’d like me to share too, please let me know and I’ll post your good ideas.

The first review is in

The NetSuite book has its first official review, and it’s from Tim Dietrich. He’s a well-known and very well regarded NetSuite expert so I’m really happy he took the time to read my book and write up a review on his site.

We’re live! :) I am so very happy to say that the book is available for purchase now. It took me most of 2021 to write but it was worth the effort.

Down to the final editing

All 20 chapters are written and now the first 16 chapters have final PDFs. We’re down to just the last bits of editing and fine-tuning before the book’s production can begin.

Twenty chapters written - SuiteWorld 2021

I’ve written all 20 chapters of the Implementing NetSuite book now and so we’re down to just editing, reviewing and finalizing everything!

Halfway Done

Woohoo! Half of the book’s 20 chapters are being reviewed and finalized now with my publisher. The end date for all this is pushed out from where we started but I’m so excited to be able to see the finish line now and to know that the book should go to the presses before November.

Two Chapters Reviewed

I’m excited to report that two chapters are mostly done now. I have a bunch more started but they still have to be reviewed by the publisher.
